1. Who we are

Birdiko is a social media management service (SaaS) operated by SASU Vookl, a simplified joint-stock company with a sole shareholder (société par actions simplifiée à associé unique) with a share capital of €5,000, registered with the Perpignan Trade and Companies Register under number 101 096 352, with its registered office at 11 Impasse de las Clotes, 66300 Passa, France. SASU Vookl is the data controller for your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For any question about how we handle your data, contact us at: support@birdiko.com.

2. What Birdiko does

Birdiko lets users write, schedule, publish and analyze their posts on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram from a single interface. To do this, you connect your own social accounts to Birdiko through each platform's official authorization flow (OAuth). You stay in control: Birdiko only acts on your accounts, based on actions you initiate.

3. Data we collect

3.1 Birdiko account data

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address and account settings.

3.2 Data from the LinkedIn API (Community Management API)

When you connect your LinkedIn account and grant the requested permissions, we process:

  • your basic profile information (name, photo, headline, public profile URL);
  • your posts and interactions (comments, reactions);
  • analytics for your posts and profile (impressions, reactions, comments, shares, followers, profile views);
  • data for the Company Pages you administer, when you choose to manage them through Birdiko;
  • the OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to act on your behalf.

3.3 Data from Facebook and Instagram

Equivalent data (profile, posts, interactions, analytics, authorization tokens) is processed when you connect your Facebook or Instagram accounts.

3.4 Billing data

Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe collects and processes your payment information; Birdiko does not store your card numbers. We retain the subscription information needed for billing.

3.5 Technical data

We may collect limited technical data (logs, session identifiers, usage data) needed to operate and secure the service.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We use your data only to:

  • provide the service you request: compose, preview, schedule and publish your posts, and report your analytics (legal basis: performance of the contract);
  • act on your social accounts through the APIs, within the permissions you granted (legal basis: your explicit consent given during the OAuth connection);
  • manage your subscription and billing (legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligations);
  • ensure security, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations (legal basis: legitimate interest and legal obligations).

We never use data obtained through the social media APIs for advertising, ad targeting or sales prospecting, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

5. Data sharing

We only share your data with:

  • the social platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) through their APIs, to perform the actions you request;
  • Stripe, for payment processing;
  • our hosting provider Hostinger, whose servers used are located in the European Union;
  • competent authorities where required by law.

Each of these providers acts as a processor and handles the data under our instructions and a GDPR-compliant contractual framework.

6. Hosting and location

Your data is hosted in the European Union.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service.

  • When you disconnect a social account from Birdiko, we stop accessing it and delete the associated data obtained from that API, along with the authorization tokens.
  • When you delete your Birdiko account, we delete your personal data, subject to mandatory legal retention (for example, accounting).
  • We have the technical capability to securely delete any data obtained through the platform APIs, including at the request of the relevant platform.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection regarding your personal data. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@birdiko.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).

9. Compliance with platform terms

Our use of the APIs and data from LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram complies with those platforms' terms of use (including the LinkedIn API Terms of Use and the Meta Platform Terms). Data use is strictly limited to providing the service to the user who authorized it.

10. Cookies

Our website may use cookies necessary for it to function and, where applicable, analytics cookies subject to your consent.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Any change will be posted on this page with a new update date.
